Recently, Katranji Institute was honored to sponsor both the 7th Annual 18-Hole Golf Outing and the 1st Annual Family Miniature Golf Outing, hosted by Care Free Medical. About Care Free Medical: A Legacy of Giving Back

Care Free Medical was founded by Dr. Barry Saltman and Suzanne Saltman, NP, who, near retirement in 2004, chose to give back to the very community that had supported their decades-long medical careers. What began as a modest plan to help 50–100 uninsured individuals soon blossomed into a full-scale clinic after overwhelming community demand made it clear that the need was far greater.

Since then, Care Free Medical has provided essential medical, dental, and optical services to over 70,000 uninsured or underinsured patients—a testament to the Saltmans’ vision, sacrifice, and unwavering compassion.

What sets Care Free Medical apart is its focus on serving those who fall through the cracks of the healthcare system. Their work reminds us that healthcare is not a privilege—it’s a fundamental right.
